THE CASE OF TOBACCO USE IN ZAMBIA:Why Zambia Needs to Pass a Tobacco Control Law.

Despite the widelu known health risks associated with tobacco consumption, the use of tobacco continues to increase in Zambia. By 2025, the world health organization (WHO) estimaes that there will be 300,000 new smokers in the country. In this week’s Monday Opinion, we argue that Zambia needs to pass a tobacco control law to offset this devastating epidemic which is increasingly becoming a top public health threat.
